The boom in food truck numbers has resulted in a boon for picky eaters, with a windfall of diverse cuisines on offer from the back of these wonderful wagons. The only possible downside of this turn of events is the issue of keeping track of all the various trucks – where to find them and when. Brisbane Food Trucks is a new online portal from Brisbane City Council that solves this issue, allowing users to see where trucks are serving and when as well as helping to activate public spaces with great food events.
The website currently lists more than 20 of Brisbane’s finest food trucks to hunt down, including the likes of The Bone Lorry, Juan More Taco, Mangia Mangia Italian Street Goods, The Bun Mobile, The Frying Piggy and many more. Brisbane Food Trucks – which is mobile-friendly for use on the go – places your selection on Google or Apple Maps, lists their trading hours, offers information on each truck, links to relevant social media pages and compiles posts, and lists street-food events around town. Safe to say that finding a feed in a hurry has been made much easier – expect more trucks to be added as they put wheels to asphalt in the future.
