We've talked self-iso snacks, quarantinis and all your favourite spots that have pivoted to takeaway, but we're yet to touch on one of the most iconic drinks sipped both here and in lands afar – the glorious creation that is bubble tea. With a lot of our favourite boba-making cafes temporarily closed or strictly serving takeaway, sourcing this much-beloved beverage is proving to be a more difficult task than usual. Luckily for us, the boba-loving team behind Bubble Tea Club have come up with a DIY bubble tea making kit, so you never have to miss out on sipping this sweet treat again!

Shipped straight to your door, Bubble Tea Club’s DIY packs gift you with all the essentials you need to brew some sweet at-home bubble tea, including tea bags, creamer, fructose and toppings. There’s a bunch of flavours to choose from, with four milk and three fruit-based optionsoriginal, Thai, taro and honeydew or mango, passionfruit and lychee. Then there’s your choice of mix-ins, which include favourites such as fruit popping pearls, coconut jelly, rainbow jelly, honey aloe vera and of course, the most important ingredient of all – tapioca balls – aka boba.

Prices for the bubble tea packs start from $2.19 per serve. You can order a milk tea five pack for $24.95 or a fruit tea five pack for $20.95. If you’re finding it hard to choose what flavour you favour, Bubble Tea Club sling a mix and match 20 pack for $69.95. The website is also hawking a 365 servings tea pack for $800 – which will feed your bubble tea addiction for at least one year. To keep things fresh, Bubble Tea Club introduces a new (and slightly cheaper) flavour each month – so keep an eye out for May’s limited-edition flavour.

If you’re looking to quench your thirst, hop onto the Bubble Tea Club website to nab yourself a DIY kit. And yes, chunky straws are included.
