Drink coffee and do good with CafeSmart

Drink coffee and do good with CafeSmart

The divinely delicious community campaign CafeSmart is back again for another year, encouraging Australians to enjoy a coffee while raising funds for the nation’s homeless population.

No matter what you have to do and where you have to be tomorrow, Friday August 7, drinking coffee ought to be your number one priority. Grab your daily coffee from one of the 350 community minded cafes that have signed up to be part of CafeSmart 2015 and $1 from your purchase will be donated towards funding grassroots homeless services.

Last year saw StreetSmart distribute an incredible $120,000 to 91 worthy organisations, particularly smaller groups that were then able to respond to the needs of people experiencing homelessness, as well as prevent this situation in the first place. StreetSmart is also encouraging participants to help create social media buzz on the day by uploading photos with the tag #cafesmart to be in the running to win some great prizes. A great range of espresso joints across Brisbane are participating, including Dovetail on Overend, Merriweather, Deer Sir, Bunker, Strauss and John Mills Himself. Head online to find a participating cafe near you.

The Stumble Guide is our comprehensive Brisbane dining guide with more than 2400 places to eat, drink, shop and play.
