Just more than half an hour from Brisbane City is the picturesque Samford region, and it’s here where you’ll find Collies and Co., a cafe that’s slightly different from the rest of the pack. Sure, you can get your coffee and brunch fix, but there’s one very special element to this cafe that sets it apart – a litter of puppies that are just waiting to be cuddled. The joy-filled Samford Village cafe is run by a family who also breeds pedigree border collies (you can have a gander at the cuties here), who transformed the cafe as a way to expose the puppies to new experiences, basic training and perhaps most importantly, cuddles. Of course, customers get to reap (read: bear hug) the benefits. The socialisation program for puppies also includes adorable litters from breeder partners, registered ethical ANKC breeders, and rescues or fostered puppies looking for their furever families.
Bookings for the puppy cuddle dine-in experience are $50 per adult and $30 per child, which includes a main meal, a drink and a 45-minute snuggle session with the four-legged beauties. The menu includes the likes of acai bowls, pulled pork tacos, Jamaican jerk chicken burgers, watermelon and haloumi salad, garlic and chilli prawn linguine, and much more. Puppy cuddle sessions currently run Thursday to Sunday during school term and seven days a week during school holidays. Eager to caress a cute canine? Make a booking for Collies and Co. online.
