Commune at The Tivoli will see the iconic Art Deco venue transformed into an intimate ten-person restaurant that promises a night of decadent dining and killer tunes. With each dinner expertly curated to individual bookings, groups of ten will have four hours worth of exclusive access to the venue during their sit-down shared dinner. Diners will be greeted with a glass of bubbly on arrival as well as a cheese and charcuterie board, followed by four courses of world-class fare from the fine foodie folk at Dalton Fine Dining. The jam-packed menu includes delicious picks such as candied chilli duck dumplings, rolled and trussed chicken with chorizo stuffing, sous vide lamb shoulder, duck-fat-roasted fingerling potatoes and much more. Plus, all meals are served with matched wines chosen by the sommeliers at Bacchus Wine Merchants. With a glass of red in hand, you can basically recreate Powderfinger’s ‘The Day You Come’ music video, you know, without Bernard or the rest of the band.
Of course, music still plays a major role here. Diners will be able to curate their own playlist through CrowdDJ by Nightlife, and have it played through The Tivoli’s world class sound system. If you really want to immerse yourself into The Tivoli concert experience (and support the struggling local live-music scene) you can even book a live band or DJ for the evening, which the team at The Tiv will hand-pick based on your taste of tunes. Keen to live it up rock-star style (without the bad ’80’s mullet we hope)? There are a heap of other fun-filled add-ons available. History buffs can secure a backstage pass which includes a behind-the-scenes historical tour of the venue led by owners Dave and Steve Sleswick, who will let you in on a secret or two about the venue and the many musicians who have come through its doors. You can also choose to have the full venue or the table themed for a party (murder mystery or poker night options are available), a professional photographer to capture all of the special moments that a selfie wouldn’t, as well as a caviar and oysters tray for those wanting to be extra fancy.
Commune at The Tivoli starts at $165 per person, with a group of ten people required to make a booking. For more information or to make a booking visit The Tivoli’s website.
