Sample the best the city has to offer at Dine Out Brisbane

We aren’t kidding when we say that July is the best month to be a foodie in Brisbane. If Good Food Month has only increased your appetite for stellar produce, make sure you get out of the house for Dine Out Brisbane – a showcase of the region’s best produce plated up at some of the finest restaurants in town from Monday July 18 to Thursday August 4.

Sometimes we need to pinch ourselves at the thought of how lucky we are to live in one of the best regions in the country for delicious produce. From the Scenic Rim out to Moreton Bay, Southeast Queensland has an abundance of world-class goods, many of which are funnelled into Brisbane and incorporated into menus at local restaurants. To celebrate this bounty, Dine Out Brisbane has brought together some of the city’s finest food establishments and challenged them to create a feature dish using a key ingredient sourced from nearby food-bowl regions. We’re talking Fassifern heirloom tomatoes, Moreton Bay bugs, Bee One Third honey, Peachester chicken and Mount Tamborine rhubarb – the best of the best.

Dine Out Brisbane has selected 32 restaurants to take part in the showcase this year, with eateries situated in Brisbane’s inner suburbs and out as far as Mount Cotton. If variety is the spice of life, then consider this collection of dishes well seasoned. Mouth-watering selections include Cha Char Char Wine Bar & Grill’s Lockyer Valley rib-eye on the bone, e’cco bistro’s Caboolture strawberry, rhubarb and rosewater cheesecake, and sucking pig sourced from Southeast Queensland with Jerusalem artichoke, fossilised pear and sheeps yoghurt at Gerard’s Bistro. We can hear your stomach rumbling from here! Be sure to head online to check out the full list of participating restaurants and their incredible offerings.

The Stumble Guide is our comprehensive Brisbane dining guide with more than 2400 places to eat, drink, shop and play.
