Since 2018, the Ghanem Group’s stunning Brisbane City restaurant Donna Chang has been serving up some of the city’s most heavenly Chinese cuisine. From delicate dim sum to succulent Southern rock lobster, Donna Chang’s menu is stacked top to tail with deliciousness. In our humble opinion, the only way we could improve the offering is by adding breakfast. Well, the crew behind the fine-diner have read our minds – Donna Chang is now serving breakfast every morning of the week.
Ghanem Group’s executive chef Jake Nicholson has assembled a ten-strong roster of breakfast classics that have been sprinkled with some choice Chinese influences. Those keen for a healthy start can opt for the bircher muesli with poached seasonal fruit, organic yoghurt and macadamia-nut crumble, while those that love a sweet treat in the morning should sample the buttermilk pancakes with poached seasonal fruit and orange mascarpone. The savoury options are just as incredible. Stand-out options include char siu roasted pork with crispy fried egg, potato hash, tamari and house pickles, Chinese-style prawn omelette with oyster sauce, garlic and chilli, and the smashed avocado on toast with shallot oil, roasted tomato and typhoon-shelter crumb. Wash it all down with a cup of Lavazza coffee or Tavalon tea and you’re good to go!
Donna Chang’s breakfast is available seven days a week from 6:30-10:30 am.
