Schnitzel festivals, glam staycations and tantalising Thai feasts – how to max out relaxing riverside vibes at Eagle Street Pier

The mercury is dropping, the sunsets are breathtaking and there's plenty happening – autumn has well and truly arrived in The City. If you're keen to spend the season sipping, snacking and relaxing by the riverside, then waterfront dining destination Eagle Street Pier has oodles on for you to enjoy. Think transportive Thai dinners, salivation-inducing schnitzel fiestas and a new drinking destination that's just waiting to be ticked off your bucket list.

Sundowners by sunset, lavish long lunches and dinner dates are just a small taste of what’s on at Eagle Street Pier this season. Start off by sating your senses at The Bavarian, which for a limited time is giving schnitzel fans a chance to indulge in a smorgasbord of ten flavour variations. Those who go clucky for chicken will be able to devour schnitzel creations inspired by lands afar – with flavours from the Mexican (loaded with corn chips) to the Hawaiian (decked out with freshly grilled pineapple) and all-time traditional favourite, the Oktoberfest (with sauteed potatoes, wurstsalat, pickled cucumber and mustard). Continue to take your tastebuds on an international journey with a trip to Naga Thai, which is hosting a series of decadent dinners showcasing the different cuisines across regional Thailand. If Mum wants to join in on the action, treat her to a six-dish shared banquet this Mother’s Day featuring fish-dumpling green curry, pad Thai with Mount Tamborine chicken and Shark Bay tiger prawns, and chilli-vodka dark chocolate mousse.

Inner-city tipple enthusiasts will be able to enjoy to top-notch drops and elegant eats with the arrival of City Winery’s new cellar door at Eagle Street Pier this month. The City Winery team has taken over the former Nagomi tenancy for the concept, transforming the space into a cosy sipping spot that is the perfect place to perch and people watch with a glass of vino in hand. Hungry folk can expect an ever-evolving menu of moreish delights on offer, with a particular focus on seafood. If you’re keen to turn that dinner date into a weekend staycay, you’ll be happy to learn that Eagle Street Pier has teamed up with Hyatt Regency Brisbane to offer one dynamite accommodation deal. Extend the good vibes with a stay in the heart of The City from $249 per night, with daily breakfast at Lennons Restaurant and Bar and a $50 food and beverage credit to enjoy at the hotel. Plus, you’ll also receive a bonus $25 gift card to redeem at Eagle Street Pier. Cocktails by the riverside? Yes, please!
