Sweet tooths assemble! Eat Street Northshore debuts frozen custard in a conut

Since the opening of Eat Street Northshore’s famous KombiAlley, Brisbane’s dessert scene has simply never been the same. These noted treat-slingers have been responsible for some of our city’s most Instagrammable (and delicious) sweet treats since day one – think doughnut fries, Ferrero funnel cakes and that watermelon soft serve. We are pleased to report that the gang is at it again with a brand-new craze – prepare to wrap your lips around authentic frozen custard served in a fresh conut (that’s a cronut cone, in case you were unaware).

For anyone who has ever travelled to the United States, you may already be familiar with the frozen custard phenomenon (miss you, Shake Shack). The dessert is similar to ice-cream, but with a much more dense and creamy texture. Brisbane locals looking to get their fix or try the treat for the first time are in luck, because KombiAlley’s custard creation has truly gone above and beyond to impress.

At the moment, there are three flavours of frozen custard available to sample at KombiAlley – indulge in Nutella, banana or traditional Italian vanilla varieties swirled high in a soft-serve style. Such a delicious treat cannot merely be contained in a standard cup or cone, so the frozen custard is served in one of Eat Street’s famous conuts – yep, that’s a croissant-doughnut hybrid especially crafted into the shape of a cone.

Has this news whipped you into a sweet frenzy? You can get your hands on authentic frozen custard at Eat Street Northshore’s KombiAlley right now – head to our Event Guide for opening hours.
