Not satisfied with simply introducing a new boutique coffee roaster to Brisbane, Abhi was meticulous with the set-up of Edward Specialty Coffee, right down to the finest details. The coffee shop has a distinct heritage feel, drawing on the historical architecture of the ANZAC Square Arcade within which it resides. Edward’s simple gold geometric logo embellishes the glass wood-framed door that leads you inside the charming space, which, with its forest-green diagonal herringbone tiles, marble bench tops and timber window bar, feels like it could be nestled amongst the bustle of yesteryear New York City.
While the aesthetic details have been carefully considered (even down to the hand-stamped leather coasters), nothing has been refined more than the coffee offering at Edward. Your coffee order will dictate the coffee that is ground and poured for you. Milk-based orders use White Horse’s house blend, alongside two different single origins – one specifically for long blacks, one specifically for espressos. Chai lattes and hot chocolates are also available, as well as grab-and-go raw treats from My Plate Clean Treats and fresh pastries from Danny’s Bread.
