Shake up your cocktail cabinet with Esprit de Figues fresh fig liqueur

Prosciutto-wrapped figs, balsamic roasted figs, grilled figs with honey mascarpone – figs are a treat no matter how you serve them. Think Spirits agree with us, which is why they’ve concocted Esprit de Figues – the world’s first fresh fig liqueur to add a magnificent mauve touch to our cocktails.

As we move further into autumn, we are taking advantage of the seasonal abundance of figs. These treasured morsels are only at their freshest for a few months of the year, but inventive Australian liquor distribution company Think Spirits has come up with a clever way to enjoy figs all year long. Figs are distilled and bottled at a 150-year old distillery in France to create Esprit de Figues – an artisan crafted fig liqueur that has just been released in Australia.

Esprit de Figues is a rich, purple liqueur that manages to imbue the freshness of handpicked Violette de Bordeaux figs into a stylish Art Nouveau-inspired bottle. The rich dark liquid softens to a paler shade when poured and mixed, while also giving off a sweet aroma of figs with notes of jam, honey and vanilla. Esprit de Figues is divine when mixed with a dash of champagne or prosecco, but is also your best friend when making cocktails for dinner party guests. Head to the Esprit de Figues website for some tasty recipes, nab a bottle from Dan Murphy’s or sample it at Cru Bar & Cellar, Canvas and Bourbon Street.
