Suburban laneway set for a sprucing with the arrival of Everton Plaza’s new dining precinct

Summer is set to bring a host of new dining options to Everton Park, following the announcement of a new food and drink component to the proposed Everton Plaza development. Several popular retailers have signed on to open new locations in Brisbane’s north, with tenancies inhabiting a smart laneway precinct that will blend past elements with modern designs.

Everton Plaza has stood as a core part of Everton Park’s major retail centre since its construction in 1969, but a current development will give the area a new lease on life – complete with a collection of fresh faces. The retail village will undergo a significant makeover over the next few months, resulting in a new portion hewn out of the centre’s pre-existing buildings. Marsden Collective is spearheading the design of the new addition, which will look to create a laneway that retains original architectural elements accentuated by modern flourishes, creating a rustic authenticity that is comfortable and vibrant.

The new retailer selection hopes to make Everton Plaza a vibrant day and night destination, with a spectrum of offerings available to visitors. Corbett & Claude (plus its coffee-oriented sibling Mr. Claude) and Comuna Cantina will co-inhabit a multi-level  venue, which will open out onto the lane and will also boast its own rooftop deck for sunset cocktails. American-inspired eatery 5 Boroughs will dish out its range of burgers, onion rings, sandwiches and ribs, while Neighbourhood Market Co will be sourcing fresh produce and deli goods for its modern grocer outlet. Finally, Stellarossa will establish a new espresso bar, pouring the brand’s award-winning blend. Everton Plaza’s redesign is on track for completion by summer. We’ll have more details for you as they emerge.
