You can expect a soft and textured fruit flavour profile, boasting a taste that is juicy but very dry all at once – think less floral than a traditional rosé and instead more obscure notes like cantaloupe skin, bay leaf, plum and blueberry.
Unico Zelo Berry & Blossom Nebbiolo Rosato – $22
The Unico Zelo team is a growers’ co-operative from the Northern Adelaide Hills, so you know these people have got the goods when it comes to grapes. Mix that with talent and creativity and you get some damn delicious wines – like this rosato. A large part of this release comes from 25-year-old Dolcetto vines in the famous sub-region of Polish Hill River in the Clare Valley, making for a taste that is dry, tangy and loaded with pep.
