Since 2011, Fonzie Abbott’s Dan Pappas has been brewing coffee that caffeine lovers adore, so when he decided to try his hand at a Fonzie Abbott beer it was with the same mindset – quality above all. The Fonzie Abbott team started the conception process with trial brews on home brew systems, testing recipes and making tweaks before linking up with Salisbury’s own Ballistic Beer Co. to create the first batch of Original Lager. From there the process amped up, resulting in a range of three core beers – the clean and crisp European-style Original Lager, the punchy and complex hopped rye lager House Beer and the sweet and fruity Classic Pale Ale. Now, Fonzie Abbott beer has hit the scene and people are suitably excited.
At this stage these brews are only available off tap. You can get your laughing gear around a schooner of Fonzie Abbott’s beer at watering holes like Bloodhound Bar, Zero Fox, Tapworks Bar & Grill, The End, The Scratch, Netherworld, Death Valley, Archive Beer Boutique, The Mill on Constance and Oxford Tap House. Fans eager to score some beer for home consumption can expect tinnies to be released in the coming months, but the biggest piece of news is perhaps that Fonzie Abbott is in the early stages of opening up its own bar and brewery, which is tentatively slated to arrive in mid-2018. Expect a lot of taphouse exclusives, such as limited release drops and collaborations. Until then, you can sip these suds at your closest craft-beer saloon.
