While Ol’ School may be at the forefront of Brisbane’s fish and chip innovation game, the gang is throwing it back to the classics for its Gold School Sunday sessions. The menu you know and love (featuring things like fish finger sandwiches, corn fritters and next-level potato scallops) has been given some exciting new retro additions – think shaker fries and Rainbow Paddle Pops drizzled in Ice Magic. Some choice drink specials join the line-up with beer cans, summery cocktails and gin’n’juice keeping it laid back. Speaking of, if you have your mind on your money this is definitely an event for you – prices on select items have also gone back to the 90s, making for a wallet-friendly hangout.
Gold School Sunday sessions have two sessions to appeal to different crowds – 12:00–3:00 pm is a designated family time, while 2:00–6:00 pm is the allocated slot to party down. Little ones are more than welcome to come along and experience the joy of an analogue afternoon, with the family slot featuring kids meals. There is also plenty of old-school entertainment on offer that might just draw you away from your smartphone – indulge in the likes of Snake Rewind, hopscotch, and noughts and crosses!
Gold School launches this Sunday November 18 – head on down to check out all of the rad specials on offer.
