The space
You’ll be very familiar with Holey Moley Golf Club’s Warner Street location – the mini-golf bar is housed inside the old church next to The Brightside. The inside has been gutted and transformed into a mini-golf wonderland, reminiscent of the novelty courses you see in American movies or The Simpsons. There are two nine-hole courses to choose from, totalling 18 unique holes to work your way through. We don’t want to give too much away, but you’ll putt your way around obstacles such as creepy-as clown dolls, mannequins tangled playing Twister, burnt-out cars and record players spinning old-school bangers. Don’t be put off by the distractions around you – remember all you’ve got to do is just tap it in. There are also holes that don’t require golf clubs at all – think specially made pinball machines and carnival clowns – and a few that will really test your skills. Putters will be challenged by the Game of Thrones-themed Iron Throne, made entirely of clubs, that you have to chip into, and the risque Glory Hole, which takes you inside the bathroom cubicles to putt between unsuspecting legs. The food and drink
Late-night putt-putt is thirsty work, right? The Caddyshack at Holey Moley has all the goods to keep golfers going well into the evening. When you walk into Holey Moley, you’re greeted by its mantra blazed in neon – ‘I like big putts and I cannot lie’ (who doesn’t) – and this isn’t where the puns end. Cocktails go by the names of Tee-Quila Mocking Birdie, The Putty Professor and The Sugar Caddy, and are decadent as, topped with lolly kebabs, doughnuts, whipped cream and more. Food comes from Lucky Egg next door in the form of fried chicken and perfectly seasoned chips, functions are fed by giant pizzas from Boroughs of New York, or you can snack on locally prepared nuts and beef jerky, popcorn, lollies and fairy floss.

Holey Moley Golf Club comes from the heroes behind Strike Bowling – these guys sure know how to do fun times for adults. It officially opens to the public this Thursday September 29.
