If you’re not familiar with i like ramen, allow us to fill you in – the Gold Coast pop-up quickly blossomed into a fully-fledged brand, taking up residence at the Love Child Market Place as Australia’s very first 100-percent vegan ramen outlet. The Coop has decided to open its kitchen to these meat-free mavericks for a strictly limited series of Sunday pop-ups, serving up brothy bowls perfectly matched with a selection of carefully curated natural wines.
As of Sunday August 19, the i like ramen team will be setting up shop at The Coop for three consecutive Sundays of lunch and dinner service. Hungry patrons can slurp on the cult-fave ramen built on bases of bone-free broths like spicy kimchi, white miso, and a shiitake/soy combo. Toppings include everything from bok choy and fried tofu through to roasted tomato and even the famed vegan chick’n. If you’re not feeling the noodles, the gang is bringing an absolutely stacked menu of sides with them – think panko-crumbed mushrooms and meat-free po-boys.
Frothing over these tasty noods? Due to anticipated demand, i like ramen Sundays will be operating on a walk-in basis – that’s first in, best dressed. If you have a group of eight or more, it’s best to email The Coop at [email protected] in advance for a table.
