Most of us are no strangers to marking special occasions with a treat from Jocelyn’s Provisions. The bakery institution is a beloved source of gourmet goodness for foodies across Brisbane, with a sumptuous selection of snacks, sweets and meals. For Father’s Day this year, Jocelyn’s invites you to level up your typical order of bar cake or green frittata with the addition of a perfectly thin and crispy-based pizzetta.
Consider the pizzetta the younger sibling to the pizza – smaller in size but still stacked with just as much flavour. On Sunday September 1, Jocelyn’s Provisions Albion will be rolling out its Gozney ovens to fire up a curated menu of pizzetta – each adorned with a scattering of artisan toppings.
On the menu, find a margherita with fresh fior di latte, a pepperoni with mozzarella and basil, as well as a salsiccia con patate pizzetta with chunky pork and fennel sausage, potatoes, provolone and rosemary. Neighbouring wine bar, Wineism, has even curated a special wine list for this event so you can grab a glass to pair your pizzetta. For dessert, keep embracing la dolce vita with a serving of Jocelyn’s tiramisu, crafted from handmade Savoiardi biscuits that have been soaked in coffee, layered with mascarpone and topped in cocoa. Jocelyn’s will also be celebrating Father’s Day with the return of its viral 100’s & 1000’s lamingtons. The decadent treat is perfect for our sweet-toothed friends, featuring vanilla tea cake and white-chocolate ganache coated in 100’s & 1000’s.
The pizza party offers free entry for all ages with plenty of street parking available from 12:0-3:00 pm. R SVP for Jocelyn’s Provisions’ laneway pizza party here.
