KoKobana and Burger Time 69 merge for a killer combo at new Toowong eatery

When you really break it down, there are only two choices when it comes to dining out. Do you vie for healthy options, or do you give in to the naughty cravings? Well, if you live in Toowong there’s a new wrinkle in your decision-making process. Hungry locals can now find healthy eats and beefy burgers under one roof at the new two-in-one venue from the minds behind KoKobana Superfood Cafe and Burger Time 69. With both halves duelling for your taste buds, the choice is harder than ever.

Despite what the devil and angel on your shoulder tell you, having multiple options at breakfast, lunch or dinner is always a big plus in our book. KoKobana Superfood Cafe and Burger Time 69’s new joint venue packs the best of each brand into a punchy and popping spot on Coronation Drive, just a short stroll from Toowong Central. Those familiar with KoKobana’s Newmarket location or Burger Time 69’s Bulimba outlet will find plenty to like, with this venue acting as perfect cover-all location for those seeking snacks at any time of day. Early risers can opt for breakfast, acai bowls, smoothies and coffee in the morning, while burger lovers are encouraged to come for late-night feasts and even a tipple or two.

Since opening, KoKobana’s Newmarket location has made the transition to a predominantly vegan offering, and while the menu at Toowong is more condensed, you can still get your fix of some nourishing fare. A range of five acai bowls are available, including peanut butter and jelly, mango, passionfruit and hazelnut varieties, while the smoothie selection packs a heap of fresh ingredients into each sip. A breakfast menu is gradually being rolled out, offering the likes of South American quesadillas, forest mushroom bruschetta, Asian miso eggs and Canadian waffles. On the burger side, expect your favourites from Burger Time 69’s Bulimba location, including the Gorgon Zola, The Zeus Burger, the Chicken Chin Chin and a special vegan cheeseburger, as well as mac’n’cheese balls, tacos, chicken wings, sweet potato fries and haloumi chips. Patrons are welcome to wash down their meal with a beer, spirit or cocktail, with a selection of Instagram-worthy concoctions to come in the near future.

Burger Time 69 and KoKobana Superfood Cafe is now open in Toowong. For opening hours and location details, head to the Stumble Guide.
