Coffee cups aren’t like underwear; they don’t need changing every day. In fact, the folks at La Bontazza implore you to re-use your coffee cup as often as possible, which is why they came up with their own nifty design.

Each year, around 58 billion paper cups are thrown into the garbage, which equates to around 20 million trees. That’s a serious burden on Mother Nature when she’s already got a lot on her plate. In an effort to reduce this statistic and encourage us coffee lovers to treat the Earth with a little more kindness, La Bontazza – which translates to ‘the cup of goodness’ – has designed the perfect coffee cup that you can use time and time again.

Let’s talk about the design. La Bontazza cups are different to other cups available thanks to the AromalidTM, which gives you the protection of a lid, but the feel of drinking out of a regular grown-up mug. Sippy cup spouts be gone! You can also choose a colour combo to match your outfit thanks to the interchangeable silicone bands, which conveniently keep the heat in and your mitts scold-free. And to ensure the taste of your hot beverage isn’t compromised, the cups are made with Borosilicate glass, which is resistant to thermal shock and is microwave and dishwasher safe.

Available in three sizes, this innovative java vessel can be purchased via La Bontazza’s online store. If you like to touch and feel before committing to buy, head to the Lewin Street Store in Bardon to check out the cups in person.

La Bontazza is giving The Weekend Edition readers the opportunity to nab a cup with a 10 percent discount and same day dispatch. Simply enter the discount code WEEKEND upon checkout!
