Le Dîner en Blanc is a secret pop-up party that has been attracting a loyal following in cities all over the world, following from its origins as a Parisian word-of-mouth only event. Now, Le Dîner en Blanc hosts gatherings all over the globe – including our fair city ­­– every year. The organisers of the posh picnic have given us the date of the elegant bash, which will take place on Saturday November 4 in a to-be-disclosed location.

If you’ve never heard of Le Dîner en Blanc, allow us to bring you up to speed. Every year, thousands of revellers don outfits of white clothing, load up on picnic tables and food before congregating at a meeting point. From here they are transported to a secret party destination – typically an iconic public space – where they are free to eat, drink, mingle and dance for hours before packing everything up and heading home, leaving naught a trace of their presence.
