Okay, okay – we know that one of the greatest aspects of Le Dîner en Blanc is being able to bring your own, well, everything. The pop-up dinner party is all about celebrating without leaving a trace, but sometimes it’s a bit more fun to let someone else handle the prep. Le Dîner en Blanc has unveiled its gourmet hamper and wine offering for 2016, in addition to allowing attendees to hire everything from chairs, folding tables, dinner plates and cutlery.
Le Dîner en Blanc has pulled out all the stops for its food hampers this year, offering a range of goodies for gluten-free and vegetarian eaters, as well as a luxurious seafood package. The simple hamper offers the likes of baguettes with whipped smoked salt butter, sliced meats, grilled vegetables, cheddar, quince paste and a baked tartlet. The deluxe package ups the ante by adding poached free-range chicken, rocket and fetta salad and a baked cheesecake for dessert. The seafood hamper adds peeled Mooloolaba prawns, fresh poached salmon spread and marinated baby octopus – and that’s on top of the deluxe foodstuffs! I know what you’re thinking – what’s a dinner party without wine? Le Dîner en Blanc has paired with Sirromet Wines for its vino selection, with Moët & Chandon and Voss water also available to wash down the nibbles. Head to the Le Dîner en Blanc website to peep the ingredients and to book a hamper before the store closes on Thursday October 20.
