Surrender yourself to the pleasure of French cheese at Le Fromage Yard

The language of cheese has a distinctly French emphasis due to the French having created more kinds of cheese, or fromage, than any other country.

Stephanie Stevenson and Pierre Luntourne are lovers of the array of tastes and textures of French cheese with a variety of flavours, styles and aromas, each distinct to its region and traditions. While living in France, Stephanie was amused by Pierre’s family’s interest in a non-French person’s indulgence in French cheese. Whilst it was an everyday routine for them, they were impressed by her passion. Upon returning to Australia Stephanie and Pierre decided to share their knowledge of French cheese through Le Fromage Yard with the market goers of Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Le Fromage Yard stock French cheeses such as comté, neufchâtel, brillat-savarin and tête de moine just to name a few, as well as a large line of goat camembert and brie and sheep-milk cheeses. Trading for just seven weeks, the pair are loving stocking predominantly French cheese, but will also source an international product based on requests on a monthly basis. If there is something in particular you are after outside of France, let the couple know and they will try to include it as the non-French feature.

With a variety of cheese styles to choose from at Kelvin Grove Village Markets, Queens Street Farmers Markets and Mitchelton Farmers Markets, have a chat to Stephanie and Pierre about the perfect combination of cheeses for your next cheese board.
