Although we’re not completely deprived of access to snappy seafood, we’re just as entitled to a bit of culinary luxury as those interstate. Roaming lobster pop-up Lobster Shack has been serving up mouth-watering butter-bathed crustaceans to residents of Sydney, Melbourne and the Gold Coast, and now it’s finally Brisbane’s turn. For most of September, Lobster Shack will be shackin’ up at 48 Petrie Terrace – the former home of Sandy’s Good Time Bar – for an anticipated pop-up.
Like its southern iterations, Lobster Shack will be bringing in fresh hauls of wild-caught Clearwater Maine lobster tail, which has been slow cooked in a butter bath and served inside fresh brioche buns with buttermilk slaw. Lobster Shack’s pop-up will give hungry guests the chance to tuck into its signature lobster roll, which comes with a serve of parmesan truffle fries for $35. If you’re really looking to lean into the decadent vibes, you can add a glass of chilled Veuve Cliquot champagne for an extra $15.
You can get your lobster fix from September 6 to 22, with the Lobster Shack pop-up opening on Thursdays and Fridays from 12:00–3:00 pm and 5:00–9:00 pm or until sold out, and on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00–9:00 pm or until sold out.
