Sip organic and minimal-intervention grape juice from LOC Bottle Shop online

One of the (many) great joys of eating out at a fancy restaurant is perusing the venue's thoughtfully curated wine list for unique and interesting tipples. You know the kind – the ones that you definitely won't remember the name of and aren't readily available at your local bottle shop. With all of the current restrictions on dining in place, we've been missing the thrill of unearthing that perfect, elusive drop that makes our tastebuds tingle. If you've been staring vacantly at the same old varietals on the shelf, say hello to LOC Bottle Shop online and sip better.

LOC stands for Left-Of-Centre, which provides the first hint that this is not your average online bottle shop. Essentially, it’s like having your own personal sommelier-curated natural wine list at home that specialises in procuring hard-to-find, organic and minimal-intervention wines from Australia, France, Italy, Spain and Austria. Rather than any old drop, LOC buys wine from thoughtful producers who put care and consideration into the juice they bottle, allowing the fruit to speak for itself – that means no additions with the exception of a little sulphur, sometimes.

LOC is the handiwork of self-confessed natural wine nerd Olivia Moore and features a curated list of ready-to-drink natural and sustainable wines from more than 60 producers. Among the inventory you’ll find a mix of hard-to-source bottles, boundary-pushers and local faves such as Gentle Folk, Borachio, Jauma and Shobbrook alongside some old world delights from l’Octavin, Alice & Olivier de Moor, Cantina Giardino, Tschida and Gut Oggau. The range is conveniently categorised by type, producer, country or variety so it’s easy to find your ideal drop. Fancy a tangy pet-nat for sipping in the sunshine? Take a peek at the fizzy wines. In the mood for something a little unexpected, give orange wine a whirl or warm up on a cold night with a perfect pinot. If you simply can’t decide, try the Bit of Both mix of six, which includes Australian favourites as well as a couple of gems from Austria, France and Spain. Delivery is available Australia-wide so get browsing at LOC Bottle Shop and cheers to you, our fellow wine-loving friends.

The Stumble Guide is our comprehensive Brisbane dining guide with more than 2400 places to eat, drink, shop and play.
