Beep, beep – Monkey Shoulder is delivering $1 cocktails from a super-sized cocktail mixer truck this week

You've heard of The Big Pineapple. You've definitely heard of The Big Banana. But, have you heard of the big cocktail mixer? The whisky wizards from Monkey Shoulder are about to change that, as they have a big surprise up their sleeve that will send Brisbane cocktail enthusiasts into a frenzy – a super-sized cocktail mixer truck. Over the next week, the brand is driving across Brisbane to deliver $1 cocktails (yes, you read that right) in partnership with some of the city’s best cocktail bars. Feeling thirsty? It all kicks off this Thursday August 13 when the mammoth mixer truck parks up at a certain inner-city drinking den.

The Monkey Mixer (Australia’s largest cocktail mixer truck, FYI) will be driving around Brisbane suburbs to deliver $1 Monkey Shoulder cocktails from some of Brisbane’s top bars straight to your door – plus, a free pair of sunnies to boot. The Monkey Mixer’s first pit-stop will be at Death & Taxes, with the mixer taking online orders and making deliveries from Thursday August 13. On Friday August 14, Monkey Shoulder will head to Cobbler in West End, then will finish up by navigating its way to Byblos on Saturday August 15, bringing the unique service to Portside Wharf’s much-visited riverside locale.

Monkey Shoulder’s special unlock-down cocktail menu includes a tipple to suit every whisky-loving tastebud. There’s The Espresso Monkey (a whisky twist on the classic coffee cocktail), The Boulevardier (a whisky and Campari punch) and the Lazy Old Fashioned, bringing a new take to a bartender’s staple. To keep you and your fellow drinking buddies safe, The Monkey Mixer will be delivering its whisky cocktails in line with COVID safety measures. To check if the mixer can visit your postcode and to purchase your $1 Monkey Shoulder cocktail, head to the Byblos, Cobbler and Death & Taxes websites.
