Known as the souped-up green tea, matcha is made by taking young tea leaves and grinding them into a bright green powder. This powder – which can be enjoyed with milk or in smoothies – is widely celebrated for its many health benefits, which include boosting metabolism and energy enhancement, making it an admirable alternate to coffee. Now, you can try the Hulk-coloured sip on the go as Australia’s first ready-to-drink sparkling matcha, Motive Matcha, has just hit the market.

A drinkable pick-me-up, Motive Matcha is created using matcha sourced from biodynamic farms. With no sugar and only seven calories a bottle, this new kid on the health block is a guilt-free alternative to those not-so-nice sugar-packed RTDs (you know, the ones that supposedly help you take flight). Plus, this bottle of goodness is said to hold the same benefits of drinking ten (yes, ten!) cups of green tea.

Launching with four fruit-infused flavours – ginger, apple, yuzu, and lychee – Motive Matcha combines the best of both worlds – sparkling water and matcha. This fresh sip is available to purchase online, with bottles costing $5.50 each and twelve packs priced at $48. You can also expect to see Motive Matcha hit the shelves real soon, with retailers to be announced shortly.
