Beer tinnies aren’t a novelty, in fact it’s actually one of the better ways to enjoy beer, short of sipping a freshly poured pint. Newstead Brewing Co. is gearing up to release its six core beers in can form, phasing out bottles in order to remove the risk of light damaging the quality of the hops and oxygen creeping through cap seals. After bringing all brewing operations back to Queensland at Newstead Brewing Co.’s state-of-the-art Milton brewery, the team has been able to tweak the beloved recipes slightly to enhance the flavour profiles for the new range. The design of the cans is still being kept under wraps until the range launches on Wednesday August 9, but we do know that the end result will be colourful.

As we all know, you can’t celebrate the arrival of a new product without having a party! Newstead Brewing Co. will be officially launching its cans with a big shindig at its Milton brewery on Wednesday August 9. The car park will be open for revellers to get a glimpse and a taste of the new canned range, with a live band and barbecue making it the place to be. Simultaneously, six boutique bottle shops will be the first to offer customers a taste of the range between 4:00–6:00 pm before the cans officially go on sale. Get a taste at Craft Red Hill on Musgrave Road, The Valley Wine Shop on Brunswick Street, Black Sheep Bottle Shop in Newmarket, Pineapple Hotel’s Helsby’s Ale House in Kangaroo Point, Hawthorne Cellars in Hawthorne, and Greenslopes Cellars on Logan Road.
