Sip, slurp, chew and chomp your way through the mammoth Night Noodle Markets offering

Fortune favours the bold, my friends. We understand that culinary risks don’t always pay off (mostly when you’re trying to get creative in the kitchen with that mystery condiment you bought months ago), which is why it’s best left to the experts. Running as part of Brisbane’s Good Food Month, the beloved Night Noodle Markets are returning to South Bank from Wednesday July 19 to serve up the sights, sounds and smells of an Asian hawker market – with a few twists and surprises thrown in for good measure.

The vibe of the Night Noodle Markets this year is set to be better than ever before, with a host of exciting new additions and features. First of all, you can ditch your cash and forget about ATMs because the markets are totally cashless this year – yeehaw! Another thing worth mentioning is the ridiculously convenient Menulog At Home Zone popping up. Hungry patrons are invited to kick back and order a selection of items from one of Menulog’s on-ground staff, then have it delivered directly to them – no queuing necessary. There are a few exciting new faces on the block that you may not associate with Asian food, but that’s all part of the fun.

Now, let’s get down to food business. The line-up at the Night Noodle Markets this year features a gobsmacking 23 food stalls, each serving up custom creations alongside some faithful staples. Newcomers and collaborators Black Star Pastry and N2 Extreme Gelato are bringing a slew of Internet-famous eats, Poké Bear will be whipping up a range of colourful bowls, Chur Burger is getting wild with some Asian-influenced offerings and dessert mavericks Gelato Messina are (of course) pushing the envelope with some crazy creations. Follow your nose to find Asian-inspired delights from Vintaged Bar+Grill, Harajuku Gyoza, Junk, NomNom Korean and oodles more – from fluffy bao to noodles of every kind, you will definitely not leave with an empty stomach. That’s not all – Brand’s Laira Wine is also hosting a pop-up cellar door, which will showcase a variety of exclusive and award-winning wines.

Ready to give your jaw a workout? Check out the Night Noodle Markets from July 19–30 at South Bank’s Cultural Forecourt. You can also check out the full drool-inducing menu here.
