There’s something to be said for striking while the iron is hot, but foodie mogul on the rise Philip Kim is striking while it’s positively molten. Less than a week after opening the doors to his Bakery Lane ramen and sake joint, Philip has unveiled the latest addition to the Nom Nom family – Nom Nom Valley. Situated conveniently on Warner Street next to the future home of Happy Valley, Nom Nom Valley is offering a bright and casual setting for patrons to kick back. The hideaway boasts a smart modern-industrial feel, with some exposed brick, neon signage and sharp tiling offering the perfect amount of texture and flair. Styled as an all-purpose venue, Nom Nom Valley is both a daytime and nighttime destination, offering eats and drinks from sunrise to beyond sunset.
At dawn, Nom Nom Valley fires up the coffee machine and starts pouring delectable brews from local heroes Wolff Coffee Roasters. Early-morning gym junkies can pop in for a nature shake and an acai bowl for a post-workout boost, or join the breakfast crowd for red velvet waffles, bacon and eggs, Spanish chorizo or the Nom Nom green eggs, which pairs two soft-boiled eggs with toast soldiers in a charming egg carton. As the day wanes, the kitchen shifts to lunch mode, offering a range of burgers and fried chicken, the latter of which comes in three flavours and as a whole or half-chicken portion size. These eats are available into the nighttime and can be paired with homemade lemonade, wine or craft beer from Green Beacon.
