Beer, reimagined – Stone & Wood’s new watermelon-infused release The Gatherer is here

Love beer? This is for you. Don't love beer? This is also for you. Let us introduce you to The Gatherer, the latest drop of tinnies from the team at Byron Bay-born indie brewery Stone & Wood. While it identifies as beer, it's a completely reimagined and totally delicious new take.

Watermelon, cucumber and mint are generally not ingredients you’d expect to find on the side of a beer can, but the Stone & Wood brewers have gone ahead and done it, challenging all preconceived ideas of regular beer to deliver a light and fresh new brew. The zesty twist of fruit gives this beer a slight blush, and – in a fun and refreshing step away from the norm – sippers are also encouraged to enjoy it with a slice of citrus and a sprig of mint. The Gatherer was formerly a seasonal release from Stone & Wood pouring only at its Byron Bay brewery, but now it’s back (for good!) by popular demand, and is available nationally in tins that are just as fun and vibrant on the outside as they are on the inside.

Brewed with watermelon, cucumber and mint, The Gatherer is a nod to the ‘gathered’ ingredients found in the beer’s home region of the Northern Rivers. The Gatherer, which comes in at a light and sessionable 4.2% ABV, is now available in 375-ml cans and on tap at venues across the country, as well as via the Stone & Wood website. Whether you’re an avid beer swiller looking for something lighter (and a bit different!) or you’re the type that just doesn’t like beer-y beers, then give this a whirl. We reckon you might have just found your new summer sip.
