Stone & Wood is throwing one hell of a backyard bash for Brewsvegas

When it comes to throwing a classic backyard party, us Aussies really know a thing or two about how to do it up right – what’s not to love about the classic combination of a good feed, some ice-cold brews, a killer soundtrack and gorgeous weather thrown in for good measure? Taking this concept to the next level is the dream team of Stone & Wood and Brewsvegas, who have teamed up to create the ultimate garden get-together for a great cause. You best make your way to the Old Museum on Saturday March 18 to see what’s going down, lest you risk a serious case of FOMO.

As part of this year’s mammoth Brewsvegas program, the Stone & Wood backyard party will be serving up a range of the company’s signature brews, including an exclusive Pilot Batch released for the event. Delicious, frosty beers tend to go down really well with a belly full of tasty eats, and the line-up of food on offer at the party does not disappoint. Ze Qickle, Cone Queen, King of the Wings and Luigi’s Italian will be holding it down on the snack front, because we all know it’s downright irresponsible to drink on an empty stomach. As if the whole situation wasn’t cool enough already, renowned street artist DRAPL will be cooking up some live art to the sounds of Your Mates DJs spinning tracks on vinyl. There will also be a curated selection of local market stalls selling their wares, with the likes of Sonic Sherpa and Holloway signing on for the night.

For those who want to take the party inside, Brisbane’s own indie rockers The Belligerents will be busting out some tunes upstairs inside the venue – this is the only part of the event that is ticketed, so be sure to snap one up ASAP before it sells out. Partying always feels that much sweeter when it’s for a purpose, and this special event is raising funds for a very worthy cause. All profits from the night will be going straight to OzHarvest, Australia’s first perishable food rescue organisation. So you pretty much get to drink beers and it helps send excess food to more than 900 charities – not a bad deal at all.

To catch The Belligerents tearing it up inside the Old Museum you can nab tickets from Eventbrite. Entry to the backyard party is free.
