The Triffid and Green Beacon Brewing team up for collaborative lager Stone’s Throw

We love a good crossover, which is why news of a pairing between live-music hub The Triffid and craft-beer brewery Green Beacon has us frothing with excitement. The Stone’s Throw lager is a limited-edition brew that is recognising the flourishing community of Newstead, brewed by locals for locals.

It’s always a good thing when you get along with your neighbours. Though The Triffid at Green Beacon Brewing don’t share a fence line, the Newstead icons have a lot in common – chiefly a passion for good times and good beer. The two institutions have linked up for a collaborative beer that pays homage to their close proximity and matching ideologies – the Stone’s Throw lager. This custom lager has been brewed so showcase Newstead’s standing as a booming hub and with harmonious collabs like these we’re inclined to agree.

The beer is created using a cold fermentation process and an extended conditioning period, with the resulting lager offering a crisp and clean flavour profile. Stone’s Throw has a subtle malt character, citrus undertones and a dry finish – effortlessly drinkable with a stylish matte-label can to boot. This beer is only available for a limited time at The Triffid, so be sure to swing by for a schooner before the kegs run dry.
