Born and brewed in Byron Bay, Sunly Seltzer is a no-nasties hard seltzer (or alcoholic carbonated water, for those less familiar) that is making waves with its zesty, crisp taste. Made in three different delicious fruity flavours – Davidson plum and berry, ginger and lemon, and blood orange and grapefruit – Sunly is a healthier, more natural and clean-tasting alternative to other canned-booze creations, which are often blurred with sugar and artificial flavours.
While some hard-seltzer brands use vodka as the so-called ‘hard’ stuff, Sunly is created using a similar process to beer – it’s brewed with a gluten-free grain called sorghum, hops, water and yeast, and finished with an infusion of natural ingredients, resulting in a vibrant and refreshing sparkling sip. This process allows for Sunly’s super-low sugar count of less than three grams of the sweet stuff per can, which is 90-percent less sugar than your usual cavity-causing RTD premix concoctions. Sunly Seltzer is one of the first Australian brands to jump on the hard-seltzer express with a one-way ticket to the international seltzer craze, which has already seen the hugely popular effervescent potion take over the US alcohol market (an estimated AUD $1.38 billion was spent on hard seltzer last year in North America alone) and has begun bubbling away here in Australia.
