We’re collecting loose change in anticipation for one of our favourite events on the foodie calendar – the Sunnybank $2 Food Trail! On Saturday July 14, Sunnybank Plaza and Sunny Park Shopping Centre will be hosting a mammoth celebration of Asian cuisine, with several eateries erecting pop-up stalls to hawk a range of tasty bites that’ll only set you back a couple of bucks a pop.

It’s only a few days away now, and the anticipation for the 2018 Sunnybank $2 Food Trail is reaching critical levels. This year’s edition is set to be bigger than ever, with more than 130 different items on offer from 45 outlets, perfect for vegetarians and omnivores alike. Among the deals up for grabs are the shallot pancakes from Golden Dumpling, Landmark Restaurant will be serving mapo tofu rice, dim sum taster plates are up for grabs from Parkland, Zen Corner is sloshing out hot and sour soup, while Shabu Shabu Hot Pot brings the heat with its spicy pork balls.

Alongside the fantastic food on offer, the Sunnybank $2 Food Trail will also offers some great live entertainment from indie-rock outfit Street Rat, electronic singer-songwriter Phoebe Sinclair and jazz funk guitarist Ravi Welsh. It’s time to scrounge for loose change – every dollar counts towards some tasty treats. If you’ve also got Saturday July 14 marked on your calendar, get prepared by checking out the event map and full food line-up.
