If you’re a Brisbane local, it’s pretty safe to assume you have a story that involves a gig or a night out at The Tivoli. It’s one of the city’s most iconic live-music institutions and now, it needs your help to survive these crazy and unpredictable times. How, we hear you ask? By buying a carton of beer, a couple of bottles of wine or splash out on a bottle of your favourite whisky – really, it’s a win-win! The Tiv Shop & Cafe is fully stocked with a mighty fine selection of wine by Bacchus Wine Merchant alongside frothies from Green Beacon Brewing Co. The Cheeseboard will equip you with an array of grazing essentials and if you’re in need of a little pick-me-up, the coffee machine will be churning out Fonzie Abbott barista-made coffee. There will also be a selection of organic teas by Love Tea.
If you’re in need of some new tunes to get you through iso, you’re in luck – the crew have teamed up with their pals at Jet Black Cat Music (JBCM) to offer a rotating selection of 20 new-release records and old favourites from The Tiv’s extensive gig history. There will be merchandise from local bands available to purchase and keep your peepers peeled for a new range of Tivoli threads, which have been created in collaboration with a range of local Brisbane artists. If you’re keen to show your support, browse The Tiv Shop online here – there are pick-up and delivery options available so if you need to bust out for a little iso-outing (whilst adhering to strict social-distancing guidelines), The Tiv Shop & Cafe is open from midday to 7:00 pm Monday to Saturday and 2:00–6:00 pm on Sunday although these times are subject to change, so we recommend taking a peek at their ‘gram before hitting the road. You can also check out the delivery details here. Every purchase will help keep the live music dream alive so they can reopen the doors as soon as it is safe to do so.
