Pump the brakes – Truckin’ Hungry brings street eats to The Gabba

Truckin’ hungry – it sounds like a particular mood you get in when you’re hankering for a food-truck feast. Locals of Brisbane’s inner south will never need experience hunger like this again when a hot new food truck hub comes to life this weekend. Come Saturday December 9, Truckin’ Hungry will be setting up in Woolloongabba to host an all-star selection of food trucks from morning until evening, seven days a week.


Attention all food-truck fanatics – come midday this Saturday the corner of O’Keefe Street and Ipswich Road will come to life as Brisbane’s newest food truck hub delivers the finest feasts from our best street-eat wagons. Truckin’ Hungry is set to be your new favourite lunch or dinner destination, with an ever-changing selection of five to eight vendors to choose from every day of the week. What’s more, Truckin’ Hungry’s park is BYO friendly, so you can bring along a bottle of something to enjoy with your meal of choice.

The first week of Truckin’ Hungry’s operation will see the likes of King of the Wings, Brat Haus, CheeseLane, I Heart Calamari, Vira Lata Food Truck, and Smart Cumin Charcoal Skewer pop up to dispense the goods, while new vendors will also make appearances in the coming weeks. Truckin’ Hungry’s opening night line-up will feature vendors including Dim Sim Kitchen, Shanks-A-Lot, India on Wheels, Wicked Slinky’s and Bad Boys Doughnuts. Bad Boys will be giving out free gluten-free doughnuts to the first 100 customers, which is a great excuse to get their early.
