Pick up some pretty goodies from UglyFood&Co

Don’t let the name fool you – there is nothing ugly about the dishes available from UglyFood&Co. You can nab some delicious homemade treats and meals from farmers markets every weekend.

Sarah Gan started UglyFood&Co after spending years cooking and feeding her four children. After churning out meal after meal for birthday parties, play dates and family gatherings and receiving loads of positive feedback, Sarah decided to share her recipes and cooking with Brisbane’s greater population. Sarah obtained a food licence and went to work in the commercial kitchen at Wandering Cooks, putting her years of experience into creating some delectable dishes.

Using locally sourced ingredients and zero preservatives, Sarah has put forth a selection of her favourite dishes made with love. Preferring to cook using the slow and traditional methods of her Singaporean heritage, each item is imbued with authentic flavour and made with care. UglyFood&Co now sells sweet and savoury items including cinnamon buns, cookies, coconut curd, achar pickles and beef rendang curry. UglyFood&Co also caters for specific events, with mouth-watering cakes and custom cookies available. Sarah also takes cooking classes, teaching others how to make delicious curries and decorate cookies and cupcakes.  If you are looking to try some of Sarah’s cooking, you can find Sarah and her UglyFood&Co dishes at the Fig Tree Pocket and Moggill Markets every week.

The Stumble Guide is our comprehensive Brisbane dining guide with more than 2400 places to eat, drink, shop and play.
