As one of the restaurant chain’s most successful Australian venues, Vapiano Albert Lane has been keeping city workers and shoppers fed and watered for the past 11 years. A well-deserved makeover saw the flagship restaurant shut up shop for four months, before reopening the doors to reveal a stylish new look and approach last week. The Brisbane venue is the first Vapiano to implement a comprehensive QR ordering system, meaning you can stay seated at the table while selecting your ideal spread. The menu has benefitted from a few new tasty additions, including the long-awaited garlic bread – which sees decadent garlic butter smothered over slices of toasted ciabatta – as well as scoops of heavenly artisanal gelato from Maleny Food Co.
Tomas Scerbo from Interior Life has collaborated with the German Vapiano team to design a welcoming, homely venue where every detail from the lighting to semi-private dining spaces has been carefully considered. DCB Developments brought the new two-level fit-out to life, now offering diners an entirely new eat-in experience. Albert Lane is a cashless restaurant and only accepts major credit cards, AMEX and Apple Pay. Choose to eat in, take away or even have your nosh delivered via Deliveroo or UberEats.
