Watching some live music or taking in some stellar art can be akin to a spiritual experience – enriching and enlightening in equal measure. Crowbar has long been one of the best places in Fortitude Valley to get spiritual on a weekend, as the venue regularly hosts live music and boundary-pushing exhibitions across both of its levels. The venue is set to officially unveil its newest nook Church – a space located at the rear of Crowbar Black – which is dedicated to offering a multi-faceted array of events ranging from the experimental to the charming.
Megan Starr-Thomas of Brisbane Collective and Brisbane Street Art Festival fame is curating Church’s offering, which will look to host everything from art shows, product launches, burlesque performances, movie screenings and even rock and roll weddings. The room is outfitted with a bar, projectors and gallery-style light fixtures for maximum versatility. Church is also available for private hire, so if you are keen to host a Viking-style dinner with a few of your friends, the team at Church is more than happy to help facilitate. We’re not joking – they are keen if you are.
