Hoap for health and the planet one wash at a time

Since COVID-19 reared its ugly head, an estimated 20 million plastic sanitiser bottles have made their way to landfills or our oceans. Whilst it's of paramount importance to keep those mitts clean and germ-free, the increased reliance on single-use plastics is not particularly great news for the environment. Thankfully, there's hope – or should we say Hoap – it's hand hygiene, reimagined.

Hoap is a brand new natural hand sanitising product that is here to help in the fight against COVID-19 but also in the ongoing war against single-use plastics. Each small biodegradable container of Hoap contains 100 individual cleanser leaves that activate with a little splash of water to dissolve in your hands over 20 seconds – the precise time the World Health Organisation recommends for a thorough hand clean. Hoap soap is formulated with 100-percent natural, predominantly plant-based ingredients that have been proven to kill harmful germs and bacteria whilst providing hands with some much-needed moisture. Specifically, aloe leaf, royal jelly, rose-flower oil, arnica flower, citric acid and silver ion, to name a few.

The idea for the revolutionary product came about during a conversation between mates Kevin Painter, Jase Alpen and Mark Alpen. As they tend to do, the trio was chatting about the dire state of the planet and how they could make a positive change during this unsettling time. The gents decided to combine their collective skill set to create a hand cleanser that would dissolve in water to avoid landfill. If you’re keen to walk a little lighter whilst keeping your hands free from germs, pick up a container of Hoap soap here for $18 or $50 for a handy three pack and let’s all be part of the change.
