Anyone who is familiar with Emma Mulholland’s work will be instantly twigged to the fact that Holiday has gone in a very different direction. Emma’s penchant for sequins, embroidery and patches has made way us to see a new side of her style. Don’t let the seemingly simple style fool you – there are loads of thoughtful details and nuances sprinkled throughout the debut Holiday collection. Holiday is also different from her eponymous line for another reason – after years of working in Bali to produce her clothing, Emma has moved the production process to home soil for this new venture.
As for the look, Holiday’s casual-cool vibe is a huge part of what makes it so appealing. Crew neck sweaters, hoodies, t-shirts, long-sleeves and sunglasses all make an appearance in the line, doused in shades of cherry red and millennial pink with golden slogans splashed on top. A hibiscus with a smiley-faced centre makes up the label’s signature motif, sitting merchandise between the words “Have a nice holiday!” and “Someone on holiday loves me”. The vintage tourist vibe is strong, with fabrics like linen and organic cotton creating an extra level of comfort and relaxation throughout the line.
