Independent fashion boutique Contra will host local creative duo Homejob this month as the label launches its new collection, Secret Maypole Society. The celebration event will kick off from 6:00–9:00 pm on Friday September 13 at 139 Charlotte Street, Brisbane City. Crafted entirely from secondhand, locally sourced materials and silks donated by a now-defunct cushion business, every piece in the new range is a one-off creation. The event will also see the release of a special collaborative tee and a bunch of classic linen styles.

To celebrate the launch, Homejob will unveil several recent collaborative projects by Kaomoji Ceramics and a film produced with Charlie Hillhouse and Theo Landon. The Secret Maypole Society collection features an iridescent top repurposed from a pre-loved ball gown, a crochet jumper crafted from handmade doilies and two ruffle clam shell tops featuring silk straps.
