KITSU honours brilliant bosoms with a playful range of clay jewellery

Boobs are miraculous life-givers that should be celebrated and revered – and worn on your ears, according to this cheeky artist.

It’s not every day you see a pair of caramel boobs hanging from ear lobes or suspended around necks, but Melbourne label KITSU is putting them out there, loud and proud. Designer Jessica Maree handcrafts these one-of-a-kind pieces from her East Brunswick studio, using polymer clay to create a wide assortment of chocolate, caramel and beige bosoms in a variety of styles – hoop, stud and dangle earrings, as well as necklaces. Her bright and bold creations are fun, mischievous and sure to turn heads.

Polymer clay is durable, shock resistant and waterproof, making it the perfect medium for jewellery that can handle an adventurous life. The range of KITSU statement pieces extend beyond just boobies, encompassing a range of square, circular, heart and irregularly shaped hoops, as well as an assortment of unique squiggles and clusters. From bracelets to chokers, and studs to drop earrings, the diverse collection is an experiment in colour and form. KITSU products are currently stocked at more than 30 stores and museums around Australia and New Zealand, including Brown’s General Store in Paddington, and available online with free international shipping.
