These pretty punters were part of a 2000-strong queue that fronted up to the Mecca Maxima Wintergarden opening day. The brand-new expanded digs clock in at 500sqm following a redevelopment of the existing site, with the new store stacked across three levels. Along with the size upgrade comes some awesome new in-store features such as a beauty concierge, beauty bars with the ability to service up to 12 people at a time, and even a dedicated skin zone available for consultations.

Let’s talk brands – Mecca Maxima Wintergarden is full to the brim with cult favourites, cruelty-free names and overseas exclusives. Coveted cosmetics brands such as NARS, Too Faced (hot tip: the Better Than Sex mascara is a game changer), Urban Decay, Smashbox, bareMinerals and Hourglass are joined by skincare favourites like Mario Badescu, Kate Somerville and Drunk Elephant. The sweet line-up also encompasses body and hair brands to the tune of frank body and Bumble & Bumble, as well as the latest K-beauty trends from Mizon, Chosungah 22 and 16Brand. You can also shop the very wallet-friendly range of Mecca’s in-house brand Mecca MAX, which dropped in August this year and has already caused a serious stir in beauty circles around the country.
