The Racquet Film story starts with Sam and Chloe, a duo with roots and originated in marketing and styling respectively. Both have a shared love of film photography and developed the Racquet Studio concept – an initiative that has grown to encompass more than 40 photographers around the world and shoot for countless brands. Initially operating as a private studio for its collective of staff, the Racquet brand opened its doors to the public in 2017 to provide its services to any and all members of the analogue film community.

Racquet Film is so far beyond a place to get your rolls developed – this unique space has become home to a whole community of creatives who have a shared love of the art of film photography. As well as being Australia’s largest analogue-dedicated film lab (more on that here), the space happens to be a workshop, photo gallery and showroom. You don’t have to be some pro hotshot to get your prints done here – Racquet welcomes shooters from all walks of life and encourages everyone to foster their own film journey. The lab has some pretty cool fans as well, with high praise coming in from Luke Henery (of Violent Soho), iconic photojournalist Tim Page from TIME, Oyster’s Jen Mendez and Kid Richards from VOGUE.
