Just over a month ago, you’d have had better luck finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow than you would a bottle of hand sanitiser on our shelves. Now that we’re weeks into our isolation routine, companies across the country have pivoted to fill the need for sanitising products, helping keep folks germ free. The Answer. is one of them – co-founder Danielle Lewis is a diabetic and was personally frustrated by the lack of hand sanitiser availability, so she went about creating her own. She knew she needed to get something to market quickly, but she also wanted to ensure she was supporting our local farmers and creating a product that people would continue to use post-pandemic. So she came up with The Answer. – a range of boutique germ-fighting products using locally sourced Australian botanicals. Up until this month The Answer. had been selling these wares solely online, but now the crew has set up a pop-up shop so people can swing by and grab some gear without having to wait for delivery.

Every Saturday and Sunday throughout May, The Answer. pop-up store will be open between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm, stocking a range of 500-ml and one-litre packets of hand sanitiser, a clutch of concrete hand-wash dispensers and sachets of hand-wash refills. These products have been consciously designed to eliminate germs while also keeping your skin nourished in the process. The Answer.’s hand sanitiser is made using 70-percent alcohol (enough power to stamp out any nasty germs), as well as Australian botanicals (lemon ironbark and Australian native river mint) and moisturising agents to protect skin. Similarly, the hand wash is also imbued with ingredients chosen for their antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, with a fragrant scent (reminiscent of limoncello) that’ll make regular washing a joy.
