World’s largest ad-supported video on demand service Tubi launches in Australia

Sunday September 1 not only ushered in the start of spring, but also a free, premium streaming service to grateful Aussies. Lock your peepers on this exciting new offering.

The largest free library in the country is now available to stream on demand anywhere, anytime, thanks to the Australian launch of Tubi. Almost 7000 movies and TV series are on offer right now, with that number set to bloom in the very near future, eventually matching that of the US – a whopping 15,000 titles. Viewers can currently binge-watch 3:10 to Yuma, The Blair Witch Project, Kickboxer and Stranger Than Fiction, with Dirty DancingThe Grudge, Requiem for a Dream, Reservoir Dogs, SawTraffic and Young Guns to be added to the library over the next six months. Viewing categories range from family movies, romance and stand-up comedies to docuseries, cult classics and foreign language films.

Headquartered in San Francisco, Tubi boasts thousands of hours of streaming video content from studios like Paramount, Lionsgate, MGM and more. There are no pesky subscription fees or credit card registrations – the only catch being you’ll need to put up with a few ads while viewing your free content. Australian viewers can access Tubi via Telstra TV, Tubi.TV and almost any internet-connected screen including Samsung TV, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Google Chromecast and Apple iOS, as well as Android tablets and smartphones. The service is also available via game consoles, including PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Head online to sign up and start watching.
