The creative duo behind Von-Röutte really know a thing or two about making beautiful things, so it comes as no surprise that the brand’s sneaker collection is another knockout. Gus Agra and Marina Tokarski have clocked years of experience fusing fashion and graphic design to create wares that are both simple and sophisticated. Seeing as the pair has already conquered the bag market with true grace, they decided to have a crack at applying the brand’s Nordic-inspired principles of simplicity, functionality and beauty into a collection of footwear – and hot damn, did it pay off.
When it comes to specific design inspiration, the debut Von-Röutte sneaker collection is heavily influenced by urban environments. Of the four styles in the collection – Lyon, Rochelle, Montreux and Kyso – each has been crafted to reflect urban design elements of particular cities, meaning each has a distinct and definable aesthetic. An assortment of four colourways is spread across the collection – black, white, grey and olive tones are anchored with the Von-Röutte logo. The collection has been handmade in Portugal using natural materials to the tune of nubuck, suede and leather, as well as a helping of recycled elements.
If your feet could use a treat, you can shop the full range of Von-Röutte footwear on the brand’s official website.
