Stow your stuff in a reusable bag made from plastic bottles

Reusable bags have become a (welcome) part of life but let's be honest, we still have a long way to go in the area of reducing, reusing and recycling to rid our precious planet of harmful plastic. Well, we have some excellent news – yes buddy. is here to ease the burden of carrying your things whilst also doing a little good in the process.

Look, we’re not saying yes buddy. can solve all of your worldly problems but it can make you look good, feel good and do good, and that’s impressive for a shopping bag. yes buddy. makes foldable, reusable and really, really good-looking bags that are made out of rPET, which stands for recycled polyethylene terephthalate, but in laypeople’s terms it’s a polyester-like material that is made from post-consumer waste such as water bottles. rPET ultimately saves an incredible amount of plastic from landfill and once the bag has run its course it’s also completely recyclable – it’s win win!

yes buddy. is available in a small size for those ‘I’m just ducking in to get milk and chocolate’ trips as well as a big boy, which is perfect for hauling groceries and miscellaneous market treasures and they come in an array of colours. In fact, the tinsel queen herself Rachel Burke has lent her talents to creating a gorgeous gingham, snazzy spots and a half/half design for those who can’t commit to one print as part of yes buddy.’s artist series, which features unique creations from local Australian artists. The small buddy is $12, the big buddy is $16 and there’s a handy bundle of buddys for $43. The bags are machine washable so you can use them over and over again, which is kind of the point. Say yes to yes buddy. and check out the range online or from Queensland’s Elle’s Balcony Garden online.
